How to Find Your Router's IP Address on iPhone
Short answer: go to Settings > Wi-Fi > (i) next to your network and read the Router line. Type that address into Safari to open your router's admin page.
Find your router's IP address
- Connect your iPhone to the Wi-Fi network of the router.
- Open Settings > Wi-Fi and tap the (i) next to the network name.
- Under IPv4 Address, the number next to Router is the router's address, also called the default gateway.
Do not confuse it with IP Address, which is your iPhone's own address. If you need that, see how to find your iPhone's IP address.
Common router addresses
If you want to compare what you see, these are common:
| Address | Often used by |
|---|---|
192.168.1.1 | Many routers and ISP gateways |
192.168.0.1 | Many consumer routers |
10.0.0.1 | Some cable providers and gateways |
192.168.1.254 | Some ISP-supplied gateways |
These vary by brand and setup, so use the address your own iPhone shows.
Open the router's admin page
- Open Safari and type the router address, for example
192.168.1.1, into the address bar. - Sign in. The default username and password are often printed on a sticker on the router, unless you changed them.
From there you can rename the network, change the Wi-Fi password, set up a DHCP reservation, or check connected devices.
Some mesh systems, such as eero and Google Nest Wifi, are managed in their own app instead of a web page, so the address may not open anything.
If it does not work
- Page will not load: make sure you are on Wi-Fi, not cellular, and that the address is typed exactly.
- Turn off a VPN or Private Relay temporarily. They can stop your iPhone from reaching local devices.
- No Router line shown: reconnect to the network. If it is still missing, try Renew Lease as described in our change IP address guide.
Keep your router secure
- Change the default admin password.
- Never share the router's login page address together with its password.
- Update the router firmware when updates are available.
